EVERY PROJECT HAS A PLACE IN YOUR SKY

Your code, written
in the stars.

STYLE YOUR SKY

Visual styles

Individual nodes & colors
Individual nodes

Click a node in the chart or choose it below. A custom color applies in both light and dark mode.

Randomize gives every node in this view a different hue, including hidden nodes. Colored lines blend the colors of their two endpoints.

Hidden nodes also hide their connections. Enable Show labels in Visual styles to display individual labels.

Palettes & visual details

Adjust both palettes and the details below. Sky gradient sets the soft background glow, which fades to transparent edges. The image follows the viewer’s preference automatically; every change is included in your daily workflow.

Selectors: .background, .star, .connections, .bridges, .repo-label, .credit, .generated-at. Use --sky-background, --sky-star, --sky-accent, --sky-line, and --sky-foreground for colors. Keep styles self-contained.

KEEP IT UP TO DATE

Save this as .github/workflows/constellation.yml in your README repository. Your settings and CSS are included—no extra config file needed.

Image links use this repository’s output branch. Save and run the workflow in that same repository.

  1. Commit the workflow. The button opens GitHub with your settings filled in. Commit to your repository’s default branch. If the file already exists, replace its contents with the workflow below.
  2. Run it once. Select Run workflow and wait for it to finish. Future runs happen daily.
  3. Add the image. Click Copy README snippet and paste it into your profile README. The completed run’s summary also includes the snippet.

The sample uses your repository owner when the workflow runs.

After adding the file, run Daily constellation from GitHub’s Actions tab once. Future runs are scheduled daily. The workflow creates an output branch and saves constellation.svg at its root, preserving other files. The repository must allow Actions to write commits.

01 / DISCOVER

Your projects become stars.

Each public repository gets a place in the sky. More GitHub stars make it shine brighter.

02 / CONNECT

Shared languages, shared orbits.

Connections include every detected language. A JavaScript project can connect to an HTML project through the CSS they both contain.

03 / TAKE IT WITH YOU

A universe for your README.

Download your sky as an SVG, or keep it fresh every day ↗ with a GitHub Action.
